Adding Multiple Choice Questions in PointSolutions Desktop
- After launching PointSolutions Desktop, select the Start Now button under PowerPoint Polling.
- Once PowerPoint has launched, navigate to the Content tab of the PointSolutions toolbar, select the icon for New.
- From the dropdown menu, choose Multiple Choice. A new slide featuring a multiple choice question will be added to your presentation.
- Add desired question and answer text, as prompted.
- Adjust slide preferences to customize question, polling, and scoring options.
From question options, you can change the bullet format and allow for anonymous or multiple responses by checking the box next to either option.
From polling options, you can adjust how and when polling results will be displayed to participates as well as polling timing (whether polling opens automatically when you present the slide or will be opened manually).
From scoring options, you can adjust the value awarded to correct and incorrect answers and set the correct answer(s) for your question. To have multiple correct answers simply change an incorrect value to correct.
Note: If you plan to use PointSolutions for attendance, please select a point value for an incorrect answer. This accounts for student attendance even if they choose the incorrect answer. Students who attended class and got a wrong answer will have partial credit and students who did not attend class will have a grade of zero. Example, incorrect responses will receive a grade of .3 below while correct responses receive a grade of 1.
