Overview

If there is an echo or audio feedback during your meeting, here are some possible causes:

  • A participant has both the computer and telephone audio active.
  • Participants with computer or telephone speakers that are too close to each other.
  • Multiple computers with active audio in the same conference room.
  • Speakers (such as a TV or a soundbar) that are too loud.
  • Echo cancellation has failed (device or performance issue).
  • A bad microphone.

 

Instructions

Troubleshoot an Echo

To troubleshoot an echo, there may be a device that is channeling your audio back. To isolate the attendee, select the Participants icon on the toolbar to access mute options. 

  • Leader/host can mute the attendees, one at a time,
  • Leader/host can mute all attendees, and then unmute one at a time, and/or,
  • Attendee(s) can mute themselves.
